Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Names, locations, or other terms entered in a search tool are sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. Van Buren County Criminal History does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
Messages sent by email may be kept long enough to review the request and respond. They are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Van Buren County Criminal History does not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Its content identifies public routes to records held by Van Buren County offices, Arkansas courts, the Arkansas Department of Public Safety and Arkansas State Police Identification Bureau using Arkansas Crime Information Center data, and the Arkansas Sex Offender Registry. The website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor data is not compiled into a consumer report or a record about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside businesses operate the search boxes. Information submitted through a box is governed by that provider's privacy policy, retention choices, and disclosure practices rather than this policy. Those practices are outside our control. Review the provider's terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Van Buren County Sheriff's Office, Arkansas court portals, Arkansas agencies, public registry services, and outside search tools. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination's privacy policy controls that visit. Read it before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may also use their own technology to follow activity across websites and choose targeted ads. That processing occurs on their systems.

Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If information from a minor is identified, a request may be made for its prompt deletion.
Your Data Rights
Rights can vary with a visitor's location and the law that applies. Arkansas public-record access is governed by the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act, Ark. Code Ann. § 25-19-101 et seq., while dissemination of state criminal-history information is addressed by the Arkansas State Criminal Records Act, Ark. Code Ann. § 12-12-1501 et seq. These public-record statutes do not necessarily create rights in privately held website data. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:
